a client for over a year
I have been exercising weekly with Ethan for over a year and have rarely missed a week. After trying to stick to an exercise routine for years, this program is my most successful to date. I am 55 years old and have chronic issues with my back, neck, and shoulder. I was doubtful about Ideal Exercise, but Ethan assured me he could tailor the machines to conform to my range of motion. Sure enough, with the use of his innovative set of cams, I haven't been injured a single time! Ethan carefully sets up each machine for me and within 20 minutes, I've completed my workout for the week. In and out quickly and his convenient location allows me to run errands after I am finished. Try his unique approach to exercise and you will not regret it! I am a believer. I have more energy and muscle tone than ever before.
a client for 11 years
I have been going to Ideal Exercise since Dec 1, 2003. I decided to give it a shot because I was beginning to get burned out from long hours in the gym. My exercise time was becoming a social time and I was really enjoying it. Then I realized that true exercise should not be fun but should be a time of intense, controlled, and safe exercise. My time is also very valuable and I found out that at Ideal exercise I could get a great workout in less than 30 minutes. I found out that it only requires once a week workouts and I was even happier. I quickly realized that my muscles needed that week to recover from my workouts. This is not due to soreness. Your muscles are pushed to total exhaustion in a safe and effective way. I just turned 60 and my strength has increased, as has my age, plus my mobility and flexibility have gotten better. My appointments are private and are under constant supervision from Ethan. I personally find these points very beneficial during my workouts. It allows me to focus on the exercises that I am doing without being interrupted and it allows you to push your muscles to exhaustion.
There is a reason why I have been doing this for 11 years. It Works!
a client for 2 1/2 years
Through out my life I've probably tried every form of exercise known to man and never stuck with any. I was about to turn 60 years old and pretty depressed about it because I was dealing with a declining parent, only 19 years older than me, that had already lost all her mobility and strength and bound to a wheelchair.
Well, it's true, we do learn from our parents and I didn't want to be like my mom. I stumbled across Ideal Exercise and it sounded different than anything I'd tried and it was. The 1st few months were not easy but doable. Who can't manage 30 minutes a week! Right? There is definitely a learning curve to use the machines correctly and it's still hard but it's so worth it. I'm almost 63 now and can run circles around my friends! I'm playing golf and back playing tennis again and have more muscle mass than I've ever had in my life. Thank you Ethan.
a client since 2009
I started going to Ideal Exercise in 2009. I was never one to like “working out”. I had read about this type of working out/strength training in a book titled “Body By Science”. It said I could get results in 30 minutes a week, with my busy schedule, lack of time, I thought I would give this a try. I met Ethan in the initial consultation, he was very professional and serious. He immediately told me if I was looking for a gym, this was not the place. If I was looking for a place to strengthen my muscles and improve my overall functionality then I was at the right place. At the time I was 5’9” and weighed 216 lbs. This has been life changing event. My back no longer hurts, I am in the best shape that I have been in over 25 years. I just turned 50 and weigh 163 lbs. I am able to participate in recreational activities like running, (currently running up to 11 miles without stopping, under 10 minute mile pace). When I arrive at Ideal exercise, Ethan is ready to start, I walk in a nice office atmosphere, temperature around 68. It is strictly an instructor and trainee environment; no mirrors, no music, cell phones. Just the machines, fans, Ethan and me. There is no yelling, only instructing, concentrating only on the targeted muscles. Each exercises lasts about 2 minutes, and I am finished in 15 minutes. I have learned that this is exercise and running is recreational.
